2. Without a strong base or foundation, any shed, no matter how well it is built, shall not last long. If a poured concrete base or foundation is too expensive for you, then you can choose to rest your shed on 4x4 pressure treated timbers or on solid concrete blocks. You must level the concrete blocks or the timbers and place them close to each other so that they can strongly support your shed.

4. Because water is dangerous to your shed, you need to take the necessary measure to protect your shed. What you can do is make sure the lowest lying component which contain untreated wood is higher than 6’ from the ground. By doing so, you will allow the circulation of fresh air underneath. The shed should also have about 2 to 3 feet clearance on all sides from plant or buildings.

5. For the shed’s floor frame, use a weather resistant type flooring. You should use good quality flooring as well as floor frames to avoid a floor which springs when someone walk on it. The ¾" exterior-grade plywood, is a good choice for flooring. Thinner plywood will bend between the floor joists.
